The firm was founded in 1989 based on the philosophy of Taxistop: if filling empty seats in cars is favorable for the environment and means a serious saving for the travellers, this should also be the case when filling empty seats in airplanes. Airstop very quickly became the specialist in last-minutes: unsold seats on flights to tourist destinations were offered a few weeks before departure to reduced tariffs.

In the meantime Airstop hasn't been standing still. Next to last-minutes Airstop offers a whole range of interesting travel formulas, nevertheless always with the basic philosophy: the best price for the most convenient trip.

Airstop brief presentation

Airstop is a valuable and completely independent chain of travel agencies, recognised by 'Tourism Flanders' under the license number A 1529. The 'A' in the number means that next to mediating between you and the tour operators and carriers, Airstop can also organise holidays without any restraints.

Our independence is very important. In contrast with other travel agents and chains we are not bound to certain suppliers and we can concentrate completely on your wishes and preferences. That is why we have a very extensive offer.

Because Airstop is a recognised IATA-agent, we can write out the tickets of the main airlines ourselves. Furthermore our agents are competent to mediate when taking out travel insurance policies, so that you can leave on holiday carefree.

A professional insurance takes care that you as a customer don't run any risks: if you would suffer a loss caused by a vocational error, it will be covered by this insurance. If you book with Airstop, you are automatically insured against financial insolvency with the guarantee fund 'Reizen'. In case of a bankruptcy you will never lose your money.

To conclude we would like to point out that Airstop is also a member of the Association for Flemish Travel Agents (VVR), an association that makes sure that the professional standards are complied with. This association is also the basis of the conciliation board, a kind of court that passes binding judgements in disputes with customers and travel agents/ tour operators.
