  • Wrigley Building

    The inspiration for this skyscraper (opened in 1920), located at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River, was found in the Giralda tower of the cathedral in Seville. The building belongs to the world famous chewing gum manufacturer Wrigley.

  • Willis Tower

    The former Sears Tower is with its 442 meters the highest skyscraper in Chicago and the United States. The building was opened in 1973 and was the highest in the world until 1998. Take the fast elevator to the 103rd floor for a breathtaking panoramic view from the observation desk.

  • John G. Shedd Aquarium

    The popular aquarium, opened in 1930 and was the largest in the United States for a long time. You can admire over 1700 different kind of fish.

  • Navy Pier

    Built in 1916 this pier served as a loading point for cargo. During the 90s, the pier was rebuilt as a tourist center with many shops, attractions and restaurants.

  • Millenium Park

    The park was officially to be opened during the millennium, but due to financial problems it was only completed and opened in 2004. Today it is a popular tourist attraction and for many residents a suitable place to escape the bustle of the city.

  • Michigan Avenue

    The most important street of Chicago. The northern part "The Magnificent Mile" is known for its many attractions, shops, restaurants and hotels.

  • La Salle Street Bridge

    This steel bridge over the Chicago River was built in 1929 and was the connection of the Near North Side to the Loop area.

  • Hancock Observatory

    Located on Michigan Avenue, this 344 meters high skyscraper is one of the most popular of the city. From the 95th floor you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view over the city and Lake Michigan.

  • Field Museum of Natural History

    The beautiful museum located along Lake Michigan was opened in 1893. The collection comprises a total of more than 21 million objects, part of which is exhibited.

  • Buckingham Fountain

    The popular fountain located in Grant Park. For the design Edward Bennett was inspired by the famous Latona Fountain in Versailles. Every hour you can witness a spectacular water show.

  • Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum

    The oldest planetarium that is still in use, was opened in 1930 by the philanthropist Max Adler. Later they expanded the building to include the planetarium astronomy museum.
